The Metropolitan Detroit Medical Library Group invites you to a presentation by Kara Gavin, Reputable Sources in a Pandemic: How to Find Information You Can Feel Good About Sharing.
Kara serves as Manager, Research and Policy Media Relations at the University of Michigan's Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation. Kara Gavin draws on more than 25 years of experience in communicating about science, medicine and health policy. She focuses mainly on the findings made by the 640 health services research wonks who belong to the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, who work to understand and improve the safety, quality, equity and affordability of health care. As part of the Michigan Medicine communication team, she has lead responsibility for primary care and mental health topics, and since early 2020 has produced a number of COVID-19-related stories.
