Free Virtual Workshops and Codeathon -- U-M and the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)

 The University of Michigan is partnering with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) to host a series of virtual workshops and a virtual codeathon. Save the date information for the workshops is below, as is a call for project proposals for the codeathon.  Please share this information with anyone at your institution who might be interested.

U-M and the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) are partnering to host a series of free virtual workshops in June and a virtual codeathon in July.

Workshops:   Detailed information & ways to sign up for any or all of the workshops will be publicized in late April 2021.  All workshops will be from 9am-12pm EST.

June 7 - NCBI Resources for Genetic Disease Discovery and Clinical Support

June 8 - NCBI Genome Resources for Animal Model Organism Research

June 14 - An Update on NCBI BLAST and Other Sequence Analysis Tools

June 15 - Getting Started with NCBI Data in Python

Codeathon:  July 13-15   Detailed information & how to sign up to participate will be publicized mid-May 2021.

We are seeking proposals for codeathon team projects.

Submissions are due by April 26 at 3pm ET.
